This Tour is really appreciated by our guests, it lasts about 4 hours and is the most convenient choice for those who want to see Amalfi and Ravello in half day, having the opportunity to take amazing pictures and have free time in Amalfi and Ravello.
Amalfi is open at tourists eyes like a big “presepe” all decorated by plants, orange and lemon trees The most representative monument is the Cathedral which was built in the IX century when the maritime republic became a great commercial potency.
One only has to observe the Cathedral to notice the multiple influences which have contributed in enriching the culture of Amalfi. Next to the Cathedral you can find the Cloister of Paradise, in arabic style with entwined arches on double columns. Precious is the Crypt which holds the remains of Saint Andrew Apostle.
Not to be missed is the museum of the hand-made Amalfi paper, constituted by an old paper mill and a library with around 3.000 books on the paper history.
Ravello, the gem of the Amalfi Coast, rule over the villages of Minori and Maiori like a real open terrace on the sea. It is a balcony overlooking the paradise.
Its beauty was discovered by Boccaccio in the “Decamerone” and by William Turner in his paintings of which drafts are today exposed at the Tat and Gallery of London. In the middle of the village, on the right of the Cathedral dome, a square-shaped tower show the entrance of the Villa Rufolo, built in the XIII century, where it is possible to visit the terrace of Wagner, which inspired the player the scene of the garden of Klingsor, second act of the Parsifal.
The landscape is the setting, each summer, of the Ravello Festival.
