Scala is the oldest village on the Amalfi Coast. It was founded in the 5th century by a group of shipwrecked Romans who adopted San Lorenzo as their patron. Today, the town is divided into six decentralized villages, each with a well-defined identity. Immune to mass tourism, Scala offers a myriad of opportunities for art lovers as well as for trekking and outdoor enthusiasts, rock-climbers and gastronomic traditions, with unique and delicious local products.
