Cetara is a small but quiet holiday destination, its ancient houses, the tower, the picturesque squares that open onto the beach, give the village a characteristic “picture postcard” setting.
Cetara is the village that has best preserved not only in its appearance, but also in its real economy, the essence of a coastal village dedicated almost exclusively to fishing and cultivation. The Cetarese fishing fleet is one of the most important in the Mediterranean and the processing of fish is a flagship in the gastronomic traditions of Campania. Tuna, anchovies in oil, along with the famous “colatura” are delicacies which, for anyone visiting the village, must be bought.
